Oil pressure is the residual pressure at which oil flows from the bottom of the well to the top of the well. It can be divided into static pressure and flow pressure. The oil pressure in shut-in is called static pressure, and the oil pressure in production is called flow pressure. The flow pressure is smaller than the static pressure due to the friction and slip loss. Static pressure can directly determine the formation pressure drop, while flow pressure is related to production.
